Establishment of the branch

The Laser Branch was established in 1984 as a laser research unit supervised and supported by UNESCO. This branch specialized in higher education because of its typical laboratories, developed equipment, and distinguished lecturers and academic staff. In 1988, the branch established undergraduate studies in the laser field for the first time in our country because of the importance of lasers in the scientific and applied fields. 1995 the branch was called the (Branch of Laser Physics). 2018 the name was changed to the (Branch of Laser Science and Technology).
