Establishment of the branch

The Branch of Biotechnology was established in 2000 (it was called Biochemical techniques). The name was changed to (Biotechnology) in 2009-2010 to be compatible with the specialization of Biotechnology in the Iraqi and global universities. The branch's goal is to prepare graduates with high capabilities to work in various pathological analysis and scientific research fields. The branch has distinguishedly efforts to assist students from other branches in the Applied Science departments and research centers at the University of Technology and other Iraqi universities.
