The Head of the Department of Applied Sciences congratulates the faculty and staff of the department on the occasion of the university ranking first locally in the Times Higher Education ranking
Professor Raed Abdul Wahab Ismail, Head of the Department of Applied Sciences, extended his congratulations to the faculty and staff of the department on the occasion of the university achieving first place locally in the 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
The results of the "THE World University Rankings 2025" were announced, where the University of Technology achieved a remarkable accomplishment by securing first place locally among Iraqi universities for the second consecutive year, out of a total of 18 universities ranked this year. Additionally, the University of Technology was ranked in the (1001 – 1200) category among 2,092 global universities included in the ranking.
The "World University Rankings" are based on a set of various academic criteria, including teaching, scientific research, and the international reputation of universities. This ranking is considered one of the most prestigious and reliable globally.
The Head of the Department urged the department's faculty to double their efforts in scientific research to enhance our beloved university's global ranking even further.
