The President of the University of Technology inaugurates the laboratories of the Biotechnology Department after their renovation

Professor Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, the President of the University, cut the ribbon to inaugurate the laboratories of the Biotechnology Department after the completion of their renovation. The renovation project received direct support from the Head of the Department of Applied Sciences, Professor Dr. Raid Abdulwahab Ismail, under the supervision of the Head of the Biotechnology Branch, Professor Dr. Intisar Hussein Ali. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Farhad Mohammed Othman, along with the department’s administrative and scientific assistants and several faculty members from the Biotechnology Branch. During the inauguration ceremony, The President of the University praised the efforts and exceptional contributions made by the faculty members of the department in general, and the Biotechnology Branch in particular, in completing this work in a short time. He also commended the department’s desire to establish a strategy that contributes to the development and renovation of the department’s laboratories, providing a suitable and ideal environment for our students




The Applied Chemistry Department organized a workshop on the use of the Bologna System

The Applied Chemistry Department organized a workshop on "The Use of the Professor System within the Bologna Framework: Roles, Duties, and the Rights and Obligations of Students." The lectures were delivered by Assistant Lecturer Jasim Muhammad Jalil, Director of the Registration Department in the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering; Professor Dr. Khalida Farhan Suhail, Head of the Applied Chemistry Department; and Lecturer Dr. Thamer Adnan Abdullah, Rapporteur of the Applied Chemistry Department. The main topics addressed included: • An explanation of the mechanism for creating a Professor account and how to add absences and record formative assessment grades. • Clarification of students' rights and obligations, in addition to the mechanism for registering academic courses. At the end of the workshop, the scientific outcomes and challenges faced by the students were discussed. The dialogue was fruitful and contributed valuable scientific insights for the students. The workshop was attended by department members and staff from the Applied Chemistry Department.
