The Mathematics and Computer Applications Branch Holds a Workshop on Artificial Intelligence
Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Raid Abdulwahab Ismail, Head of the Applied Science Department, and with direct follow-up from Professor Dr. Manal Naji Yaqoub, Head of the Mathematics and Computer Applications Branch, a workshop was organized in collaboration with Taylor's University, Malaysia.
The workshop, "Teaching Strategies for Artificial Intelligence in Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs," was held over two days in the department building's Late Professor Dr. Abdul-Muttalib Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Hall.
Dr. Mohammed Moayad delivered lectures on teaching methodologies for artificial intelligence at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, covering key AI applications aligned with the curriculum set by the Ministry. Additionally, faculty members received hands-on training on effectively delivering AI course content.
During the event, Professor Dr. Manal Naji Yaqoub and faculty members congratulated Professor Dr. Raid Abdulwahab Ismail on his official appointment as Head of the Applied Science Department, wishing him continued success in his academic and scientific endeavours.

Within the framework of the University Academic Promotions Committee program at the University of Technology, Dr. Uday Naeem Salman from the Applied Physics branch and Dr. Bashar Hussein Qasim from the Applied Chemistry branch have been promoted from Assistant Professor to the rank of Professorship.
On this occasion, the department's administration, faculty members, and staff, in general, and the faculty and staff of the Applied Physics and Applied Chemistry branches, in particular, extend their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to their colleagues, Professor Dr. Uday Naeem Salman and Professor Dr. Bashar Hussein Qasim.
